About being our Project Manager/Civil Engineer - Transportation

As a Project Manager, supporting our Transportation team in our Tucson, AZ office at Psomas, you will utilize your expertise to oversee all aspects of the development and design for transportation projects. Ability to work in a team environment is essential. You'll be responsible for overall management of multiple projects and utilize experience to organize and execute the technical quality and coordination of a broad range of assignments.

Responsibility Highlights for our Project Manager/Civil Engineer - Transportation

  • Leading the design and development of transportation projects
  • Monitoring project schedules, budget, and profitability
  • Developing staffing plans and project fee estimates
  • Leading business development efforts and pursuit planning, including presentations, proposals, RFQs, and interviews
  • Acting as the client advocate and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Possessing expert technical knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within the Transportation and Public Works discipline
  • Supervising, training and mentoring team members
  • Leading site visits, client meetings, QA/QC and coordination with agencies
  • Preparing and monitoring schedules, budgets and scopes of services
  • Positively represent within the region through participation in industry organizations, events and conferences

Minimum Qualifications to be our Project Manager/Civil Engineer - Transportation

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering and design with a focus on public works, roadway, and highway design
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Arizona
  • Minimum of 4+ years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience
  • Knowledge in computer software utilized in the transportation/public works industry, Highway/Roadway Design, InRoads Software, AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with local municipality, and ADOT design and procedures, regulatory compliance and agency coordination
