As an Commercial Roofing Estimator, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for a variety for commercial roofing projects across a variety of systems and manufacturers. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial roofing practices, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- Estimate Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for commercial roofing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, site visits and overhead costs.
- System Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all commercial roofing systems (e.g., built-up, modified bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC) and manufacturers to provide well-rounded solutions.
- Client Interaction: Develop and maintain strong relationships with national clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all estimates align with industry standards and best practices, maintaining high-quality and accuracy in every proposal.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to and promote safety standards and regulations, ensuring that all aspects of the project estimates reflect a commitment to safe work practices.
- Market Analysis: Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and advancements in roofing systems to provide competitive and up-to-date estimates.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and professional growth opportunities to stay ahead in the industry and contribute innovative solutions to the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that all project specifications and requirements are met
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimation, with a strong track record of working with clients. Any equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial/industrial roofing system design and installation code compliance, manufacturers requirements for warranty and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to provide precise and competitive estimates.
- Proficient with data base estimating digitizer computerize estimating software (Estimating Edge "The Edge", Software experience is a Plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Power point, Word
