Job Description The Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer will be responsible for all planning and executing a diverse range of geotechnical projects. The senior engineer will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary professionals to manage engineering projects.A Additionally, the senior engineer will play a pivotal role in mentoring other engineers, and project management. Domestic and International travel may be required for visits to client mine sites or for client and corporate meetings.We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following: Bachelor of science degree or master of science degree in geotechnical/geological engineering, mechanical, civil or related discipline from an ABET-accredited institution10-15 years of experience in field work related to rock mechanicsStrong client relationships and the ability to support business development effortsProfessional licensure or the ability to achieve professional licensureMine Safety and Health Administration (MHSA) CertificationPractical experience reviewing measured/recorded data to identify abnormal trends indicative of instability or developing ground control issuesExperience conducting field assessments to identify ground-control hazards and potential instabilitiesExperience with different types of ground-support systems to contain and support loose rockFamiliarity with contact and formation grouting techniques to control water inflowsStrong project management skills and experience Additional Information Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise.
