Job Description

Top 3 Must haves:

Mechanical Design Background: Strong foundation in mechanical design principles. 3-5 years of experience preferred

CAD Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.

Basic Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of basic electrical components

Nice to have:

Bachelors Degree in related field is a plus but not required

Process Responsibilities:

Change Management Process (CMP) Actions: Oversee and implement changes through the CMP.

Assembly Process Support: Provide support to the assembly team, including building safety stock and addressing parts-related questions.

Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Handle changes and updates to the BOM.

Quality Support: Assist when quality issues arise.

Project-Specific Responsibilities:

New Product Design and Sourcing:

Support the development and documentation of new BOM and related assets.

Collaborate with regulatory teams to achieve the necessary approvals.

Assist in establishing and improving product design and manufacturing processes.

Support the validation and approval of suppliers.

International Source of Supply (SoS) Support:

Modify product components to fit international infrastructure requirements.

Collaborate with regulatory teams for international approvals.

Develop and document new BOM and related assets for international markets.

Ongoing Support:

Update documentation and BOM for product changes.

Implement minor changes to product components based on feedback or sourcing changes.

Collaboration and Team Integration:

Regulatory Collaboration:

Learn and adhere to regulatory requirements for components.

Gather necessary documentation from vendors.

Identify and replace non-compliant components for international markets.

Assist in rewriting user manuals to meet regulatory specifications.

Packaging and Graphics Collaboration:

Manage and document label changes.

Select and manage relationships with printing vendors.

Rewrite and update installation instructions and related documents.

Sales and Business Collaboration:

Engage with sales reps to include additional materials in the product.

Create SKUs for new components.

Lead efforts to add new labels as required by the business team.

Software Team Collaboration:

Modify product components to be compatible with new software.

Update CAD drawings to reflect changes.

Maintain relationships with component vendors and manage SKUs.

Upcoming Tasks:

Source of Supply Change CMP:

Address any field problems post-production start.

Update product standards.

International Source of Supply Change CMP:

Prepare for kickoff presentations.

Source local materials and vendors for product components.

Ensure regulatory compliance for all materials.

Update artwork and labels for regulatory and business needs.

Visit international locations to assist with assembly and process understanding.

Update CAD assembly drawings and product standards for international markets.
