The Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs all functions pertaining to the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty off-road construction equipment. This position allows for career progression into a Lead Man or Maintenance Manager.Pay: $26-$42/hr, plus $2/hr shift differential when on nightsShift/Schedule: 4on/4off 12-hr shifts 6-6; weekly day/night rotationBenefitsCompetitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401(K) with 3% Employer Contribution, Long- and Short-term DisabilityYear round, non-weather dependent employmentTuition Reimbursement for qualified skilled trade programsStudent Loan Repayment ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramResponsibilitiesThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic will:Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keepingDismantle and reassemble trucks, machines, and equipment to gain access to the problem areaMaintain work area to allow safe movement and accessVisually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctionsRead schematicsUtilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot malfunctionsWeld, cut, and fabricate equipment and componentsMeet customer service expectationsSkillsThe ideal candidate will have:Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs.Mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of off-road heavy equipmentKnowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, braking systems, electrical systems, drivelines, steering mechanisms, and suspensionsTier IV Emissions experienceAbility to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of equipmentAbility to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or toolsGood verbal and written communication skills.Valid Driver's LicenseWillingness to perform other duties as assigned.To ApplyPlease submit your resume.
