Job Summary:
The Plant Infrastructure Worker is responsible for performing structural maintenance and construction tasks within the Kansas City plant facility. This includes work focused on carpentry , masonry , and scaffolding , supporting the safety, reliability, and functionality of the plants infrastructure. The role plays a key part in facility upkeep and contributes to infrastructure improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform carpentry work including building, repairing, and modifying plant structures such as walls, doors, partitions, ceilings, and flooring.
- Erect, inspect, and safely dismantle scaffolding and work platforms in line with safety standards and operational needs.
- Carry out masonry tasks including brick and block work, concrete patching, grouting, and formwork for minor structural repairs.
- Use tools and equipment such as drills, saws, hammers, levels, mixers, and scaffolding systems safely and efficiently.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and job instructions.
- Conduct inspections to identify structural issues or wear and perform repairs as needed.
- Maintain clean and safe work environments in compliance with plant safety standards.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure Supervisor and maintenance team to support daily operations and improvement projects.
Working Conditions:
- Based in an industrial plant environment in Kansas City .
- Exposure to noise, dust, and physical labor; use of construction materials and tools is required.
- Regular physical activity including climbing ladders, standing for long periods, and working at elevated heights.
- May involve overtime, shift work, or emergency repairs as operational needs arise.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in carpentry , masonry , or scaffolding preferred.
- Previous experience in infrastructure maintenance or construction within a plant, industrial, or commercial setting.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools related to carpentry and masonry.
- Working knowledge of scaffolding safety procedures and experience with scaffold setup and takedown.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints or technical diagrams.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
Valid drivers license; certifications for working at heights or operating lift platforms are a plus.
