Senior Mechanical Engineer Full Time - Onsite Baltimore, MD or Fairfax, VA About the Opportunity: My client is a highly respected multidisciplinary engineering and architectural firm with over 110 years of history delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across government, commercial, transportation, and institutional markets. They are actively seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Baltimore, MD or Fairfax, VA office. This leadership role offers the chance to shape mechanical system designs across a wide variety of projects, guide project teams, and contribute directly to the firm's continued success and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, overseeing the design and execution of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Develop and review mechanical system designs to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client objectives. Engage with clients to understand needs, offer expert recommendations, and ensure high levels of satisfaction. Oversee quality assurance for mechanical deliverables, ensuring accuracy, performance, and constructability. Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Stay current with evolving technologies and trends, applying innovation to complex challenges. Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and technical staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred). PE license in Maryland or Virginia (or ability to obtain through reciprocity). Minimum of 16 years of mechanical design experience, including project leadership. Proficiency in mechanical design tools and platforms, including AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software. Strong communication and client relationship management skills. U.S. Citizenship is required. Strong commitment to teamwork, mentorship, and high-quality engineering.
