Professional Surveyor (Licensed)

Role Description

• The Professional Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveys, boundary surveys, and construction surveys, as well as preparing survey reports and maps.

• The role will involve working closely with the engineering team to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Conduct land surveys using GPS, 3D scanners, and traditional surveying methods to collect accurate data.

• Prepare detailed survey reports and maps using AutoCAD and ArcGIS software.

• Analyze survey data to determine property boundaries, topography, and other critical information for project planning.

• Collaborate with civil engineers and other professionals to ensure compliance with regulations and project specifications.

• Utilize GIS technology for mapping and spatial analysis as needed.

• Perform calculations involving trigonometry to ensure precise measurements and data accuracy.

• Maintain surveying equipment and ensure it is calibrated for optimal performance.

• Provide technical support during the construction phase by verifying site conditions against survey data.

Requirements

• Professional Surveyor (PS) in Michigan or currently licensed in another state.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Surveying, or a related field preferred.

• Proven experience in land surveying with proficiency in GPS technology, Topcon equipment, and 3D scanning techniques.

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS applications, and civil engineering principles.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations involving trigonometry.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in various outdoor environments.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.

• Valid driver's license is required for travel to various job sites.
