Electrical General Foreman - O&M North Slope Construction
JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical General Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of foremen and craft personnel engaged in construction and maintenance work. This position supervises personnel and ensures the implementation of project plans and specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Lead crews by example in implementing safety policy and procedures.
Enforce all safety policies where necessary.
Conduct and lead safety meetings.
Prepare engineering scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimates for all project phases
Plan and direct the work of foremen and craft personnel.
Coordinate personnel schedules and monitor the level of work performed.
Review mechanical constructability of projects during the design phase.
Assure craft compliance with codes and client specifications.
Track and coordinate materials.
Conduct field reviews to inspect work progress and ensure conformance with project specifications.
Develop and implement construction schedules with other foremen.
Assist in developing and maintaining policies and procedures.
Communicate issues of concern to superintendent.
Communicate laterally with all foremen and the safety department.
Prepare work status and progress reports.
Supervise and provide guidance to foremen and craft personnel.
Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
Display strong leadership and organizational skills.
Support and be committed to the AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Possess a Valid Driver's License
Have a minimum of 8 years' experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment
Possess a valid Alaskan Electrical Journeyman License
Have 3 years of experience in supervising personnel
Have thorough knowledge of scaffolding systems
The ability to work 80.5 - 84 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.
A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
