Civil Engineer
Job Description

Utilize MicroStation and/or Civil 3D to complete site grading, stormwater management, and earthwork analysis. Prepare permit applications and reports. Coordinate with project team members and communicate with clients. Assist senior engineers in developing commercial and residential site plans. Conduct site visits and work closely with project managers.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification and ability to obtain PE
  • 1.5-2 years of site design experience
  • Proficiency in MicroStation preferred, AutoCAD Civil 3D acceptable with willingness to be trained
  • Working knowledge and experience with state and regional regulations and stormwater management ordinances
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in utility design, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management design is beneficial.
Work Environment

This position will start as 100% in the office, with approximately 40-50 individuals on the engineering team and 7 engineers within that space. The candidate will be placed within one of the specialized teams but will have the opportunity to gain experience on various project types and work with different project managers in the office. About 90% of the time will be spent in the office, with 10% dedicated to site visits. The office setup includes a personal desk space and computer. Mileage reimbursement is offered for site travel. The candidate may also work on projects from the Indianapolis office, which uses Civil 3D.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.50 - $38.00/hr.
