Schedule: Mon. - Fri.; 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate pipeline valves during pigging operations and during emergencies.
- Responds to NM / Texas 811 One Calls for locating pipelines and interfaces with third party contractors performing construction.
- Safely purge and pack pipeline segments to initiate pipeline operation. Monitor pipeline pressure to remain within safe operating parameters.
- Safely vent to atmosphere or flare contents of a pipeline segment to discontinue pipeline operation.
- Assist with internal corrosion prevention / mitigation activities as directed.
- Maintains professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary to effectively complete responsibilities; enhances job knowledge and abilities by taking personal responsibility for professional development.
- Supports the company's employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
- Performs responsibilities as directed within determined time frames with a high degree of efficiency.
- Work with Field Operations and Construction Personnel on new or special projects.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Possess and maintain a valid driver license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
Minimum of two years' related experience, preferably in Midstream
Proficiency in PC skills and applications, including Microsoft Office products (required) and X Map (preferred).
Able to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Must be able to work without direct supervision and have excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work safely and adhere to all federal, state and company policies and procedures governing safe work practices.
Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and good background in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather with exposure to elements.
- Driving, walking, standing frequently Be able to meet the following physical requirements:
- Climb stairs and ladders, climb over objects or structures be able to jump a few feet horizontally and vertically, squat, twist, lift, stoop, crawl, and be able to walk at speed as great as 4 miles per hour.
- Capable of safely evacuating facilities; having no physical condition which might impede escape (or escape by others) from a location.
- Have the ability to adapt to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., extreme cold, heat, and humidity)
- Able to work extended hours as needed.
- Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity.
- Must be able to lift to 32 pounds at times in a safe manner.
- Live within a 150-mile radius of company facilities.
