Flex Status: On site 24 hrs. – Flexible 16 hrs. Effective: May 2017
Salary Range: $45,490 - $65,000

Position Summary:
Completes home assessments and develops scope of work. Determines project flow including staff assignments and oversees staff and contractor's work on home repair projects. Works independently in the field and coordinates and oversees subcontractors, staff, and volunteers to complete free health and safety home repairs for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Plans all phases of rehab process including soliciting bids, coordinating, and overseeing subcontractors, monitoring work to ensure adherence to contract terms, and determining material needs with the Program Manager’s support.
- Completes a variety of minor healthy home repair projects using lead-safe work practices. Repairs include carpentry, plumbing, safety aid installation, painting, general maintenance and more. Supports other field staff in repair work.
- Recruits and maintains a list of sub-contractors to meet agency and funder equity goals. Maintains strong relationships with sub-contractors.
- Ensures all work is completed safely, and efficiently, and to code and grant specifications. Reports unsafe or hazardous conditions. Uses lead-safe work practices.
- Completes home assessments with other staff, and determines scopes of work.
- Ensures high client satisfaction rates.
- Trains, supervises and oversees individual volunteers and groups.
- Maintains complete records of repair work, mileage, project costs, and time.
- Ability to practice cultural humility when interacting with co-workers and clients of diverse ethnic, religious, political, and cultural backgrounds and sexual or gender identities, treating everyone with respect and dignity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Trade skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, general home maintenance, and power and hand tool safety. Must have basic hand tools.
- Knowledge base in building codes and the permit process is essential. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. Smartphone technology including phone calls, calendar, email, and text.
- Requires a demonstrated ability and continuous effort to improve operations, decrease project turnaround time, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively with staff, subcontractors, volunteers, clients, and community partners.
- Provides excellent customer service and builds trust with clients in a respectful and culturally - competent manner.

- Oversees individual project budgets ranging $500 to $10,000 to ensure funder and REACH compliance with the program manager’s support
- Recruits and maintains a list of sub-contractors to meet agency and funder equity goals. Maintains strong relationships with sub-contractors.
- Ensures all work is completed safely, and efficiently, and to code and grant specifications. Reports unsafe or hazardous conditions. Uses lead-safe work practice
Scope and Accountability:
- Makes recommendations, gives direction to others, and performs work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Performs duties independently, but guidance and direction are available for unusual or critical situations.
- Operates from established and well-known procedures.
- Decisions are made within the organization's operating guidelines.
- The program Manager reviews work.
Supe rvis o r y Responsibility:
- Supervises volunteers at work sites. Follows volunteer policies and procedures.
- Oversees work of sub-contractors.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of three year’s residential rehab experience is required. Experience managing projects and overseeing sub-contractors preferred.
- Residential rehab project coordination experience as well as demonstrated trades skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing, general home maintenance, and power and hand tool safety.
- Experience working with diverse populations is desired.

- Must have a valid driver’s license and valid liability insurance.
