EM Electrician A Journeyman

Essential Functions:Performs a variety of electrical maintenance work of traffic engineering and other electrical equipmentExercises lead responsibility over apprenticesExamples of Duties:Examples of Work:UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISIONInstalls and repairs electrical traffic signals and other electrical equipmentAssists foreperson lay-out and design work projectsTrains apprentices to perform the workFollows established health and safety proceduresMaintains tools and equipmentDiscusses work problems and projects with co-workersPerforms related workMinimum Requirements:Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related workSpends prolonged periods of time sitting, standing, walking, carrying, stooping and climbingLifts and carries items weighing up to 100 pounds in a team settingWorks at locations with limited or difficult access including uneven terrainIdentifies wiring based on color codesMinimum Requirements:Must possess a Journeyman Certification or completion of a four year Apprenticeship ProgramOther Minimums:Must submit to and pass pre-employment and random alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the Department of TransportationMust wear safety equipment as mandated by OSHAMust possess and maintain a valid driver's licenseSpecial Requirements:Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes or obtain within six months of employmentSupplemental Information:WorkDay Allowances - Supplemental Pays Testing, Training & Licenses Hrly RateTraffic Signal Inspection Allowance Traffic Signal Inspection 0.10IMSA Level II (A) Electrical Allowance Level II (A) "Electrical"/or TS Field Tech 0.30IMSA Level II (A) Electronic Allowance Level II (B) "Electronic"/or TS Bench Tech 0.50IMSA Level III Allowance Level III/or TS III Field Technician 0.10Electronic and Data Courses Allowance Electronic and Data Courses 0.30
