Electrical Engineer

Top notch MEP Consulting Engineer firm that is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer who can actively hit the ground running. Looking for a 5+ year out of an MEP Consulting Engineering firm.

the main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Assist engineers in preparing design documentation.
  • Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings of Electrical systems.
  • Assist engineers with design calculations and sizing building Electrical systems.
  • Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash & fault current, lighting, and any other calculations required to support electrical design.
  • Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems.
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
  • Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
  • A baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited 4-year institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in designing electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • EIT or desire to obtain license.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong Analytical and quantitative skills, and a demonstrated capability for analysis and strategic thinking.
  • Strong initiativethe willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Ability to multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both verbally and in writing.
