Position Summary: JMT's Hunt Valley, MD office is seeking a Transportation Structural Engineer to be responsible for the management and design of transportation structures projects. Project Engineer position is responsible for maintaining budget and schedule while acting as a technical advisor to design engineers.
Compensation is $100,000. - $125,000. annually, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Design of new and rehabilitation bridge projects
- Ability to meet project schedules and maintain quality standards
- Maintain project scopes and budgets
- Preparation of contract bid documents and managing construction phase services
- Coordination with sub consultants
- Leading design engineers and drafting personnel
- Converse with clients and establish relationships
Nonessential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Ability to manage the structural design of engineering and construction projects of varying levels of complexity, and scope
- Knowledge of structural design principles for steel, reinforced concrete, and prestressed concrete for structure components
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
