The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and studies of electrical systems for ground mount utility-scale solar PV power plants. Ensure that design conforms to AHJ codes and/or Owner specifications and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design compatibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate electrical system requirements for utility-scale solar PV power plants
- Direct and/or develop electrical layouts using AutoCAD
- Develop electrical studies and calculations using ETAP
- Direct Electrical Designers and Engineers to prepare and revise electrical drawings and calculations
- Participate in ‘Page Turn’ reviews with construction and project management teams
- Provide construction support during the project execution phase
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise Electrical Designers
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited university
- Registered Professional Engineer (or obtainable within 1 year)
- Minimum four (4) years relevant work experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Proficiency with application of NFPA70 (NEC)
- Ability to perform electrical studies using ETAP software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with design of solar PV projects (desired)
- Experience with electric utilities (desired)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Work is performed in the office and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds. May be exposed to weather elements when in the field. Limited out of town travel may be required.
