What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for the mechanical design, ensuring achievement of project KPIs through engineering directives while guaranteeing the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-value products.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and launch innovative new products.
  • Create, develop, and validate new products from customer requirements. Initiating preliminary design concepts and evaluation through concept feasibility, design validation, manufacturing process and PPAP approvals.
  • Conduct product design reviews and create design failure mode effects analysis (DFMEA) and validation plans (DVP&R) documents as necessary.
  • Complete/coordinate product validation as required, including engineering analysis, FEA, CFD, and lab validation testing.
  • Define critical-to-quality dimensions and features of components and products.
  • Generate design documentation including CAD files, assembly instructions, bills of materials (BOM), and maintain throughout the project.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related degree (required)
  • Eight to twelve years of related experience (required)
  • Experience in the design of assemblies and complete products (required)
  • Experience in design of pumps or other turbomachinery (preferred)
  • Computer Skills
  • Advanced: Creo/Solidworks, ANSYS, Product Lifecycle Management (Teamcenter, Windchill or similar) software, alphanumeric spreadsheet data entry/analysis
  • Intermediate: Word processing/typing, Project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet or similar, presentation/PowerPoint
