TITLE: Purchasing Agent
REPORTS TO: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Supervises the daily activities of the purchasing function. Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of the group.
- Familiar with a variety of the HVAC field's concepts, practices and procedures.
- Reviews purchasing decisions, orders and vendor contracts.
- Manage existing inventory ensuring complete accountability of all supplies/equipment.
- Coordinate the issue and return of job specific supplies/equipment.
- Focal point for all purchases of equipment/supplies.
- Track and maintain records on all equipment warranty items.
- Reconcile purchase orders with actual bills ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Provide vital purchasing information to other departments/management to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and within customer expectations.
- Provide frequent updates to project/field managers regarding the status of pending orders.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Five to ten years of experience in HVAC or plumbing purchasing.
- High energy level.
- Consummate team player, work closely with other divisions within the company.
- Exceptional communicator with customers and company personnel.
- Consummate professional.
