TITLE: Purchasing Agent

REPORTS TO: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Supervises the daily activities of the purchasing function. Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of the group.
  • Familiar with a variety of the HVAC field's concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Reviews purchasing decisions, orders and vendor contracts.
  • Manage existing inventory ensuring complete accountability of all supplies/equipment.
  • Coordinate the issue and return of job specific supplies/equipment.
  • Focal point for all purchases of equipment/supplies.
  • Track and maintain records on all equipment warranty items.
  • Reconcile purchase orders with actual bills ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Provide vital purchasing information to other departments/management to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and within customer expectations.
  • Provide frequent updates to project/field managers regarding the status of pending orders.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Five to ten years of experience in HVAC or plumbing purchasing.
  • High energy level.
  • Consummate team player, work closely with other divisions within the company.
  • Exceptional communicator with customers and company personnel.
  • Consummate professional.
