- We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be well-versed in safety protocols, computer applications, reading plans and specifications, and must be a quick learner capable of multitasking.
- The role involves conducting toolbox talks and leading subcontractors and onsite personnel.
- While the ideal candidate would be based in the Buffalo area, we are open to those willing to travel, as our projects span various locations, including Rochester and the Finger Lakes region.
- Oversee the construction of a ground-up warehouse project in Amherst, NY.
- Manage a 15,000 sq ft and a 5000 sq ft building project, including PEMB, site work, and utilities.
- Conduct daily logs and provide reports using Procore.
- Create and manage two-week look-ahead schedules.
- Communicate effectively with all subcontractors, ensuring the steel work is self-performed while overseeing other subcontracted work.
- Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks.
- Ensure project adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Work closely with head Project Managers on large commercial projects.
- Experience in construction management and as a general contractor.
- Proficiency in commercial construction, particularly ground-up projects.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and site work.
- Proficiency in Procore for daily logs and reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Excellent multitasking and quick learning abilities.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Proficiency in computer applications related to construction management.
- Experience in overseeing subcontractors and managing full project scope.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
- The role is based onsite at a commercial construction site, with both trailer and office facilities available.
