We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our mountain operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems critical to ski lift operations and mountain infrastructure. This position offers a unique blend of technical electrical work in a dynamic outdoor environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair high (240-480V) and low voltage (24V) electrical systems throughout resort facilities and lift infrastructure
Interpret and work from complex electrical schematics across various manufacturer standards
Troubleshoot AC variable speed drives, DC motors, DC variable speed drives, and PLC/relay-based control systems
Perform preventative maintenance on critical lift systems to ensure operational reliability and safety
Conduct electrical testing using specialized diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve system issues
Manage and maintain electrical inventory with meticulous attention to detail
Collaborate cross-functionally with other mountain operations teams to achieve company objectives
Operate snowmobiles to access remote locations during winter operations
Perform work at heights up to 60 feet on lift towers (fall protection training and equipment provided)
Job Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with industrial electrical systems and controls
Strong technical knowledge of AC/DC motors, variable speed drives, and low voltage control systems
Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently in challenging conditions while maintaining safety as the top priority
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) knowledge or certification a plus
Computer or sales programs necessary to position
Previous industry or position experience that qualify candidates to apply for this position
Other Requirements:
High school diploma required; technical certification or equivalent experience preferred
Ability to work in variable weather conditions year-round
Previous ski area experience and skiing/snowboarding ability preferred but not required (training provided)
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Occasionally lift, push, pull, and or carry up to 100 pounds.
Work Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week with three consecutive days off
Seasonal schedule variations between winter and summer operations
Weekend and holiday work required on rotation
