Associate Project Manager

Summary:
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the coordination of all activities in acquiring, engineering and constructing new sites. The Associate Project Manager could assume lead on a limited number of sites.
Job Functions:
The main job of the APM is to support the PM(s) on certain tasks within the turnkey tower development process. These tasks are detailed as:
SCIP coordination and submission, ground lease negotiations, due diligence, regulatory permits (Phase I, SHPO, NEPA, FAA, FCC, etc.), zoning, building permits and coordination with the construction team for sites to be carrier install-ready
Coordinate the set-up of the project(s), budgets, and initiation of new tower/site builds as approved and assigned
Solicit pre-approved vendors to provide site acquisition, engineering and permitting services to complete the project(s)
Establish and maintain weekly project plans for multiple sites and PMs as required. Work could include direct interaction with clients with support from internal and external resources
Identify and assess potential risk within the project scope and escalate internally for resolution
Monitor and communicate metrics with company tracking tools and reports on a minimum weekly basis
Initiate and conduct necessary meetings with vendors to keep project(s) on schedule and within budget
Prepare, coordinate, and close out all required accounting requirements for each project including requisitions, purchase orders and invoice approvals
Complete all project closeouts including site walks, punch list item completion, document scanning, site binder, and accounting
Learn and understand construction drawings and the redline process, environmental reports, title, lease terms and government approvals
These job functions are representative of tasks accomplished by incumbents. The list is not exhaustive; incumbents perform other job-related tasks
Education and Experience:
Four-year degree preferred, engineering or business degree
Minimum 2 years' experience in wireless communication development, site acquisition and construction project management preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in managing projects with various deadlines and budgets
Proficient user of MS office
Excellent client and vendor relationship skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and pressured environment
Effective in an entrepreneurial culture, working independently and as part of a team
