Position Overview As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the administrative and technical aspects of constructing a project, managing a team of field and cost engineers. In this role, you will be the main conduit of information between the Project or Construction Manager and the team for cost, revenue, cash flow information; and therefore requires strong interpersonal and time management skills. Project Engineers may work as the Project Manager on some of our smaller projects and will be expected to develop the team below them.
District Overview Kiewit's Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more - so be ready to get your hands dirty! While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South-Central regions of the United States. We are looking for people committed to the construction industry rather than design.
Location This position will be based out of our Colorado (Central District) region.
Must be willing to work across Colorado, Montana, Nebraska & surrounding markets.

Responsibilities Perform scheduling of the project
Revenue, cost, and cash flow management
Temp engineering
Permanent design management and quality control
Project closeout
Client relations
Assist in Operations planning
Administer contracts and subcontracts
Qualifications Undergraduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering disciplines.
5+ years' work experience in construction or engineering
2+ years' experience managing engineers with exposure to cost control and scheduling management
Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.

Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
Base Compensation: $100,00/yr - $141,000/ya
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
