About the role As an Equipment Operator at Reworld, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse using a variety of industrial equipment at our facility. Position Responsibilities: Operate equipment such as forklifts, track hoes, skid steers, vacuum trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, walking floor trailers, pressure washers, and material handling tools Receive, weigh, unpack, and label inbound containers Safely consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor Maintain housekeeping standards within assigned areas and throughout the facility Perform exterior site maintenance including litter collection, painting, snow removal, and ice prevention Manage traffic control for incoming and outgoing trucks Assist mechanics with equipment repairs as needed Support other operational tasks as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment experience in an OSHA-regulated environment Valid driver's license Massachusetts 2A Hydraulics License required Willingness and ability to learn and operate multiple types of equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and basic tool skills Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends as needed Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Comfortable kneeling, bending, and working in confined spaces or at heights Must qualify to wear a full-face respirator Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions All Reworld positions require a candidate's ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values, including (but not limited to) contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace, delivering results through trust, and building breakthrough capabilities.
