CAD/BIM Drafter

A leading MEP firm seeks a skilled CAD/BIM Drafter to produce detailed drawings and models for MEP systems. This role will develop plans for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems using CAD and BIM software, collaborating with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate, code-compliant designs.

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems using AutoCAD and Revit.

• Develop BIM models to support clash detection, coordination, and project visualization.

• Prepare schematics, layouts, and shop drawings based on engineering specifications.

• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design teams to ensure model accuracy.

• Update drawings based on RFIs, change orders, and field conditions.

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and local building codes.

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.

• 2+ years of experience in CAD/BIM drafting for MEP projects (e.g., offices, hospitals, schools).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with Navisworks or other BIM tools a plus.

• Knowledge of MEP systems and building codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, IPC).

• Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Preferred: Autodesk Certified Professional or BIM-related certifications.
