POSITION TITLE: Electrical Maintenance Technician

LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

SALARY RANGE: $25-30 hour + Overtime

Shift: 1 st shift

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong trouble shooting and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Electrical, General and Preventive Maintenance
• Work unsupervised
• Welding skills a plus
• 10 + years of experience in the Programming and Installation of Allen Bradley PLCs and VFDs
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Industrial Electrical Technicians are responsible for the installation and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This includes diagnosing and repairing faulty electrical components of machines such as PLC's, AC / DC drives, etc. and ensuring that equipment is maintained in top working condition through troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair problems with motors, motor starters, control panels, relay logic, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Programming and Installation of Allen Bradley PLCs and VFDs
• Must be able to run conduit and layout and wire electrical control panels
• Install, repair, rebuild and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services, maximizing production time and minimizing down time
• Participate as well as help in the development of a regularly scheduled preventive maintenance program
• Communicate daily with Maintenance Manager and Production personnel to review equipment performance, and matters of importance which could impact Production, Quality, cost and/or safety
• Perform root cause analysis, as needed, to increase serviceability and reliability of equipment to increase performance
• Ensure successful testing of equipment to ensure proper operation after repairs
• Ensure all safety, work rules, regulations and housekeeping standards are followed
