MASON ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER (Rocky Point)

*****Large scale Union Mason Contractor seeks Mason Estimator/Project Manager*****

Union Mason Contractor is looking for an aggressive Mason Estimator with proven experience in commercial ground up construction. Shall have a solid technical understanding of CMU and brick veneer works as well as any additional masonry scope items, must be able to adapt to changes in his/her role in accordance to the company needs, shall have strong organizational and communication skills, shall have the ability to take a project from the pre-construction phase to its completion, must be a good salesman, must be able to multi-task.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

I. Expert in reading plans/blueprints
2. Review of project plans for completeness.
3. Trade breakdown (Ability to perform complete take offs, masonry square footage and components utilizing PlanSwift, Blue Beam and/or Tradesmen).
4. Provide all necessary submittals pertaining to masonry contracts and documents.
5. Understanding of masonry scope and specifications.
6. Multi task between various projects.
7. Track project scheduling start to completion.
8. Must follow up with all Estimates/Bids submitted.
9. Generate materials list for project.
10. Review Contract documents.
11. RFI management and logging.
12. Order all materials required to perform masonry scope.
13. Other duties expected of a construction project estimator.
14. Computer Literacy (Microsoft office, Ms Project or similar, etc.).
15. Attend weekly jobsite meetings.

Education: College Degree in relative disciplines. Minimum 10 years experience in commercial estimating. Education can be substituted by experience. Additional certifications shall assist in the decision making of the right candidate.
