Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades or the Correctional Plant Supervisor, the Electrician II, CF, is responsible for repair and maintenance of the institutional electrical system, equipment, auxiliary systems, and electrified fence. Plans, lays out, directs and assists with work of assembling, installing, and repairing electric circuits, motors, heaters, generators, transformers, switchboards, and other electrical apparatus, as well as electrified fence and related components. Maintains order and enforces the safety rules and regulations, supervises the conduct of inmates, prevents escapes and injury to themselves, others, or to state property. Maintains security of working areas and work materials. Inmates will be supervised by staff at all times, including movement proceeding to and leaving work areas.
