Pay & Schedule:
- $30-$40/hour (based on experience)
- 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform production welding of piping components including pipe, flanges, and fittings
- Review and interpret weld procedures, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Understand and apply basic NDE (weld examination) techniques including VT, PT, and RT
- Fit and position pipe components accurately for welding
- Set up welding equipment and verify weld size using appropriate gauges
- Maintain welder logs and ensure compliance with project documentation
- Perform oxy/fuel pre-heating and carbon/arc gouging as required
- Use various tools including grinders, burr tools, and wire brushes
- Inspect your own and coworkers' layouts and fit-ups for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain strict adherence to all quality and safety standards
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience welding Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel pipe and fittings, manual or semi-automatic
- Must pass weld testing (RT & visual) in the 1G position for the following welding processes: GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SAW (Submerged Arc Welding)
- Proficiency in using welding tools and measuring devices such as calipers and gauges
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication and attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- Pipe and pressure vessel welding experience is a plus
- General industrial fabrication experience is a plus
