Your Role as an HVAC Service Technician
- As an HVAC Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining home heating and cooling systems while ensuring customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing routine maintenance, including cleaning coils, electrical checks, airflow measurements, refrigerant checks, and warranty work.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
- Conducting HVAC system repairs on heat pumps, furnaces, and water source heating
- Recharging refrigerant levels, checking for leaks, and ensuring the refrigerant cycle functions properly.
Installing energy-efficiency upgrades such as smart thermostats and duct sealing.
- Educating customers on system maintenance, operation, and upgrade recommendations.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Goettl's high standards.
- Keeping accurate records of all work performed.
- Maintaining a properly stocked company truck with essential tools and equipment
- Adhering to local codes, safety protocols, and testing procedures.
Requirements:

- 1+ years of residential HVAC experience
- 1+ years of sales experience preferred
- Proven ability to work within a team environment and be committed to educated and professional growth.
- EPA certified - Type II or Universal
- OSHA 10 Construction Safety and Health (Nevada Only)
- Proven ability to work within a team environment and be committed to educated and professional growth.
- For your safety, you must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Must have EPA Certification (Level II or Universal Certification) or ability to obtain within 14 days
- Ability to lift more than 50 lbs. and bend, stoop, stand and crawl for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and small spaces.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
- Must be over 21
- Ability to provide a basic set of your own tools
- Must have flexibility to work schedule (days and hours including some nights & weekends)
