Job Description
This well-established HVAC & Sheet Metal company with 50+ years in business in Hawaii is seeking a highly motivated, skilled and knowledgeable individuals to join our team to help build a better Hawaii, and develop and maintain good working relationship with clients and the project team.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively plan and manage multiple projects from start to successful completion which includes but not limited to: good leadership, communication and collaboration with other team members and related parties; acquiring, reviewing, understanding and maintaining the complete project documents including contract agreements, estimate/proposals, schedules and other related docs; attend project meeting, and other meeting as necessary; procurement/tracking/coordination of subcontractors, equipment and materials; scheduling and coordinating; measuring job progress and maintaining budgets; preparing & maintaining work orders, project reports, schedule of values, billing information; equipment/material review and submittal; process and manage RFIs & change orders; assist with start-up, TAB, commissioning and training; process closing documents; other duties as may be needed to completely manage projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC and sheet metal construction industry or related fields.
- Able to review and understand plans & specifications, procure materials and equipment, write and administer sub-contracts; prepare change orders, schedule of values, invoices, and cost estimates within deadlines.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and City procurement and contract requirements.
- College degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, other engineering fields and/or architecture is preferred. Applicants with good relevant/equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proficient with PC, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge & use of estimating and/or scheduling software is favorable.
- Have good-excellent skills in verbal and written English communication, negotiating, organization and time management. An ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks with efficiency, and make professional/educated concise decisions.
- Self-motivated, timely/reliable, good attitude and work ethics, a team player, conscientious and takes initiative.
- Valid Hawaii drivers license, insurable with no major infractions.
