We are looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our team. You must have at least two years of concrete finishing experience, preferably in commercial and residential applications. Our ideal candidate is proficient with industry tools, such as a power trowel, has experience with reading blueprints and understanding elevations. You also need to communicate effectively on a team. Because this job is physically demanding, you need to have good physical stamina and the endurance to work in all weather conditions.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Understand/Read blueprints and elevations.
Checking forms for proper construction.
Setting forms to desired pitch, depth and proper alignment.
Install rebar and wire mesh.
Spread and level concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float.
Operate power vibrator to consolidate concrete.
Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointer and straight edge.
Use power trowels and vibrating screeds to smooth freshly poured concrete.
Monitor weather elements for effect on the curing of concrete.
Produce rough concrete surface using broom.
Application of surface treatments.
Use a saw to cut expansion joints.
Communicate effectively and work as a member of a team.
SCHEDULE
Work week is Monday through Friday, typically between the hours of 6am to 6pm, with overtime and some weekend work when required.
10-15% of projects in a calendar year require travel; hotel and per diem is paid by Maker Construction Corp.
QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years experience in similar position/industry
Must have valid Driver's License
Ability to pass DOT physical
Ability to read engineering/architectural plans
