Job Summary:

A high-end residential construction company in Edgartown, MA is seeking a skilled Job Site Foreman to lead daily on-site operations. The role demands strong leadership, deep building expertise, and a commitment to craftsmanship and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and deliver superior quality in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead all on-site construction activities

Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, and project sequencing

Enforce job site safety standards and maintain a clean, organized environment

Track project timelines and notify management of any potential delays

Ensure work aligns with blueprints and premium construction standards

Communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders

Maintain accurate daily job logs, reports, and site documentation

Resolve field challenges proactively and adapt to shifting site conditions

Mentor and train junior staff and field crew members

Oversee inspections, logistics, and adherence to local building codes

Qualifications:

5-10 years of experience in construction, with 3+ years in a supervisory or foreman role

Proficient in reading blueprints, job specs, and construction drawings

Strong knowledge of residential construction practices (framing, finish carpentry, site layout, mechanical coordination)

Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety procedures

Ability to manage multiple tasks and subcontractors effectively

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Familiarity with job site technology (e.g., tablets, scheduling software, reporting apps) is a plus

Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (CSL) is a plus
