Packaging Operator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Packaging Operator to join our team in the production of medical diagnostic test kits. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to batch record and quality control specifications. Responsibilities Safely operate equipment in the production of medical diagnostic test kits of various types, meeting all batch record and quality control requirements. Conduct machine set-up and changeover according to SOP, including performing quality control testing. Operate automated machinery through a User Interface (Tablet) and support computer-controlled systems and robotic manufacturing equipment. Assist with pre and post line clearance, including equipment set-up and take down. Document work requests and logbook entries accurately. Lift up to 50 lbs. to fill bins and hoppers, maintaining manufacturing materials on the line as needed. Perform procedural adjustments and real-time troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to identify potential problems. Remove, replace, align, adjust, and make necessary corrections on all mechanical equipment promptly. Perform equipment housekeeping and job clean-up related to maintenance tasks. Identify equipment-related safety issues. Comply with LOTO Policy and Procedure as required by SOP. Complete maintenance work requests in a timely manner. Participate in projects as directed by the Assembly Supervisor, Engineering, and Maintenance. Perform other duties as needed to meet department, manufacturing, or business needs. Essential Skills Packaging, Production, General labor, Packing, Labelling, Cleanroom, Machine Operator Production Line Attention to detail with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and experience. Ability to track and record output, yield, rate, machine efficiency, and quality results. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of packaging and automated equipment. Team player, ambitious, detail-oriented, self-initiating, and accountable for work assignments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Understanding of and adherence to company policies on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs & SOPs). Fluency in speaking and writing in English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Robotic control experience is a plus. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends. Why Work Here?
