Located in Carteret, NJ Pay: $25-$35 an hour Shift: 1st shift Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the environmental and construction fields, with a strong focus on operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders. This role requires a commitment to safety and attention to detail. Responsibilities Operate and maintain Excavators, Loaders, and Dozers, reporting to the Operations Manager. Dig 4-foot ditches and perform soil screening, moving, and processing operations. Load trucks, excavate soil, and remove tanks. Operate a Backhoe to dig test pits and stockpile soil. Participate in remediation site activities and some landfill construction. Work in tight areas while ensuring safety and efficiency. Follow outlined assignments and standard procedures, with periodic safety and economy inspections. Essential Skills 40-Hour OSHA certification is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental or construction fields. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as Excavators, Dozers, and Backhoes. Clean driving record is required.
