Heavy Equipment Mechanic Job Description Aerotek is hiring immediately Diesel Mechanic for a commercial construction company. This position will involve maintenance on CDL trucks, and various heavy machinery; excavators, loaders, dozers, back-hoes, etc. Company work truck will be offered in this role. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits! Monday to Friday (7am-3:30pm) Responsibilities Service and oversee repairs of all types of equipment at the job site. Conduct preventive maintenance. Perform safety inspections on equipment. Maintain a safe shop work environment and company vehicle. Adhere to all company, governmental, and equipment-related safety requirements. Perform other duties assigned by the manager. Essential Skills Heavy equipment Diesel Hydraulics Traveling Mechanic 5+ years as a road mechanic Basic Hand Tools Additional Skills & Qualifications 4+ years' experience as a mechanic with diesel equipment, hydraulics, and welding Trade school or technical training desirable - experience with Cat, Kenworth, and Komatsu DOT Physical Examination (Medical card) along with Hydraulics License required CDL License would be helpful Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Must be physically able to work in extreme conditions on job sites On-call and some overtime work Work Environment You will work 40-50 hours a week. You will have a company truck for this opportunity. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
