General Laborer Job Description We are seeking skilled general construction laborers with 1 to 2 years of experience to join the Cape Porpoise Pier project. This project involves the replacement of the bait shed, addition of a Harbormaster office, replacement of fuel tanks and fuel systems, expansion of the pier, and installation of a new float system for recreational boats along with a pump-out station. Responsibilities Assist in various aspects of construction as part of the Cape Porpoise Pier project. Utilize strong mechanical abilities for construction tasks. Employ skills in cutting torch and welding (MIG and TIG). Work with heavy timber and concrete in construction environments. Participate in heavy construction activities and meet standard weight lifting requirements of up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds. Essential Skills 1 to 2 years of experience in construction labor. Proficiency in using cutting torches and welding equipment (MIG and TIG). Experience in concrete and heavy construction. Ability to handle standard weight lifting requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of power tools and general labor tasks.
