Production Supervisor Pay: $78,900-$90,000/Hour Location: Kent, WA Shift: must be open to any shift Job Description As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee employees in production departments, ensuring effective training, motivation, and discipline. You will maintain a professional and respectful work environment, mentoring and leading employees while recommending improvements to plant management. You will initiate work orders for maintenance, audit timecards, and enforce company policies. Your role will include evaluating employee performance, maintaining housekeeping standards, and ensuring safe handling of materials. You will interface with others to meet customer deadlines and verify product specifications. Responsibilities Supervise employees in production departments, including training, motivation, and discipline. Maintain a professional and respectful work environment, including confidentiality regarding supervisory matters. Mentor, lead, and provide direction for employees. Recommend procedures, systems, equipment, and machinery alterations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Initiate work orders for machinery, equipment, and vehicle maintenance. Audit hourly employee timecards for accuracy and update payroll electronic timecards. Administer and enforce company rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure compliance with safety programs and represent the company in grievance proceedings. Evaluate employee performance and establish goals for manufacturing techniques. Maintain housekeeping standards. Control handling and use of materials known to be toxic or hazardous. Interface with others in the organization to meet customer deadlines. Inspect and measure parts and products for specification conformance. Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair non-conforming products. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance. Analyze and resolve work problems, assisting workers as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Production supervision and management Lean manufacturing and process improvement Job preparation and industrial supervision Ability to think strategically and solve problems Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong analytical skills and data leverage for business decisions Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Additional Skills & Qualifications High School or Equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience 2 or more years of supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred Ability to understand various tags and labels used in the mill Ability to read and understand production schedules and cards Proficiency with bar code reader Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong team building and participation skills Effective oral and written communication skills across all organization levels Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to present information and respond to queries from managers, clients, and the public Why Work Here?
