CT engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to assist the team in Installed Base engineering including effective assessment and investigation of field (customer), factory and supplier issues.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate incoming field, factory or supplier issues, including part failures, assembly or component-level issues, part obsolescence issues, improvement opportunities, and cost reduction proposals.
- Assess, evaluate and respond to assigned Supplier Change Requests (SCR) with appropriate urgency to ensure no supplier or manufacturing downtime.
- Own and present thorough and rigorous Engineering Change Requests in compliance with HealthCare Work Instructions.
- Drive the development of prototypes, performance testing and design documentation as needed.
- Drive operational excellence of assigned designs, projects and rigor, with duties including design, project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, resourcing, initiation, execution and closure.
- Assist with meeting global regulations related material compliance as well as Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and at least 3 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of standard drafting practices, product structuring, mechanical modeling and drawing practices, and engineering analysis techniques.
- Experience with Client HealthCare design tools: Creo/Windchill, Ansys, My Workshop.
- Working knowledge of mechanical fabrication technologies.
- Basic understanding/exposure to electrical engineering and design constraints related to electronics and electrical packaging.
- Excellent documentation skills.
