We are looking for a Licensed Journeyman Electrician. Must have current license in the State of Texas for both Residential/Commercial Service and a clean background and valid driver's license.
Job includes working indoors and outdoors, in attics, tight spaces and construction sights. Successful candidate will have own hand tools, verifiable local experience, and motivation to go the extra mile to continue our excellent reputation within the community!
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibility of Journeyman electricians include the following:
Duties o Work with building engineers, architects and/or other construction specialists to help design electrical systems for new construction. Assist master/journeyman electrician with the preparation of comprehensive bids for prospective jobs. Assist with installations and maintaining wiring, control and lighting systems. Assist with the repair or replacement of wiring, equipment or fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Follow state and local building regulation based on the National Electric Code. Receive training for installation, maintenance and repair of wiring, control and lighting systems. Correct any deficiencies or inaccuracies identified in the inspection of completed work in a timely manner. Provide and maintain tools required to complete jobs, as stated by company policy. Perform any other duties or tasks as required or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS This position requires the following education, skills and abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent. Journeyman electrician license. Working knowledge of state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code. Strong analytical, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment, take responsibility for meeting deadlines and be a skilled problem solver. Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrate responsiveness, tact, diplomacy, good judgment, and confidentiality in communications with all levels of office staff, other technicians, vendors and customers. Confidentiality: Assure discreet handling of all business.
PREFERRED SKILLS Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings and plan jobs according to the detailed requirements. Electrical technology certification or Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electrical Technology. Working knowledge of HVAC/Electrical software applications (e.g., ESC). Excellent computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel.
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position works in the field. Is exposed to driving hazards. Adherence to Safety Policy and Driving Safety Policy is vital.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands for this position are heavy. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Self-motivated and able to handle rapidly changing priorities and several tasks simultaneously . Must be able to respond to difficult situations with customers and co-workers with high level of professionalism. Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors and co-workers . Must be able to follow safety guidelines at all times . Must have ability to manage and lead effectively .
INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: Communicates and interacts with employees on all levels in the office. Sets an example for employees in the company.
EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS The apprentice electrician will have high level of contact with customers and vendors, and will be required to maintain professional communication and appearance at all times during work hours.
Background check will be conducted. NO FELONIES.
