Research, develop, and test electrical systems, electrical designs, electrical controls, technical solutions, software, and procedures.

Modify existing designs, solutions, and software

Writing manuals for design specs

Support current and new designs for aircraft carrier parts, controls, and manuals

Maintaining electrical system diagrams

Provide technical solutions (paper products)

Design new controls for CVN 80, 81, & 82 (new construction)

Communicate with internal and external customers (NAVSEA, NAVY, and FLEET/Waterfront)

Test ship products in lab to ensure work is correct

Review submittals, drawings, and test results from vendors

Write instruction manuals for how to use parts on carrier

Make technical decisions on product reviews

Support all functions on New Construction (CVN 80, 81, & 82) and Fleet Support (CVN 78 & 79)

Make recommendations to government customers

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited university/program

2-4 years of relevant professional experience

Excellent problem-solving skills

Highly motivated and self-driven

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience in working with one or all of the following:

- Instrumentation

- Transformers

- Switch Boards

- Familiarity with submarine or carrier propulsion plant arrangement

- Medium Voltage Power

- Power Testing

- Protective Relays

- Power Distribution

- Power Systems

- Reactor Planning

- Technical Correspondence

- Navy Nukes

- Allen Bradley PLC
