Mechanic Helper Job Description Join our team as a mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in installing and assembling equipment on work trucks. Your tasks will include fitting truck beds, plows, tool boxes, mud flaps, crane holders, ramp holders, and tail lights. You will read blueprints and work diagrams to install hydraulic equipment and perform testing and inspections to ensure everything is correctly installed. Wiring tasks will be performed as needed. Responsibilities Install and assemble equipment on work trucks, including beds, plows, and tool boxes. Assemble and bolt truck boxes to the back of trucks. Install mud flaps, crane holders, ramp holders, and tail lights. Read blueprints and work diagrams to install hydraulic equipment and parts. Perform testing and inspections on installed components. Conduct wiring tasks as necessary. Essential Skills At least 2 years of mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints or work instructions. Proficiency in using hand, power, and air tools. Ownership of basic hand tools and measurement tools. Steel toes or composite toe shoes. Capability to lift 50 lbs. Skill in reading a tape measure. Work Environment This is a six-month contract-to-hire position with day shifts from 7 AM to 4 PM. We have openings for both heavy-duty (more experienced) and light-duty (less experienced assemblers) roles. The work environment resembles a mechanic bay, which can be hot in summer and cold in winter. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sharonville, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
