A growing company in the commercial equipment space is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to support project quoting and cost analysis. This role focuses on estimating for specialized equipment layouts and system installations across a variety of commercial environments. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing technical documents, preparing cost estimates, and coordinating with internal teams to support successful bidding and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates and formal quotes for custom equipment and system installation projects.

• Review architectural and technical drawings to assess project scope and requirements.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather pricing and identify cost-effective options.

• Maintain internal pricing databases and vendor contact lists.

• Analyze bid packages and requests for proposals to ensure alignment with project needs.

• Track active quotes and assist with revisions based on updated specifications or client feedback.

• Contribute to scope adjustments and value engineering efforts as needed.

Qualifications

• 23 years of estimating experience in construction-related or equipment/system installation industries.

• Familiarity with specialized layouts or system-based project requirements (e.g., utilities, infrastructure, technical installations).

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and technical drawings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimating or ERP platforms.

• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using industry-standard estimating tools such as AutoQuotes, AutoCAD or Revit.

• Understanding of mechanical, plumbing, or utility systems related to specialty equipment.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety guidelines relevant to commercial installations.
