Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Electrical Design Engineer to support its Power & Controls organization. Were looking for someone, like you, to accept a high level of responsibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In this role you will be part of an integrated product team of engineers that design and support aerospace flight control and engine control electronic applications. You will be part of the team that researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks, etc. for military and commercial purposes.

This position will be at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid , with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

• Troubleshoot electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
• Design, modify, and evaluate electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in other equipment and devices.
• Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Design electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, and military
• Produce deliverables according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.
• Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components.

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires a university degree unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Experience working with electronic control systems (school project or prior internship experience)
• Experience or coursework in designing and verifying electronic circuit cards
• Analog circuit analysis experience
• Processing system design experience
• Test and Lab Instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) experience
