General Summary

The Retail Construction group provides visual merchandising and 3D design solutions for Patagonia sell-in and sell-through environments. The Ventura Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations including inventory management and organization, shipments to and from, vendor relationships, supporting design & build projects, and working collaboratively with several internal teams. This includes but is not limited to new store openings/remodels, partner stores, global sales meetings, tradeshows, campus projects, and other special events.

What Youll Do:

  • Partner with Retail Construction, VDG, EDT, Retail Build Manager, and Facilities on concept, design, production, execution, logistics and resourcing for all projects.
  • Determine Seasonal Build Support needs while adhering to labor budget constraints identified by the Retail Construction Manager.
  • Delegate daily tasks to Seasonal Build Support team members in alignment with project priorities established by Retail Construction Manager.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workflow, and meet deadlines for installation.
  • Create and manage build schedules, ensuring timely completion of all projects.
  • Manage logistics for all incoming / outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all fixtures, building materials, supplies, etc. and maintain levels needed for project plans.
  • Develop and maintain Ventura based vendor relationships for local / sustainable materials and fixtures. Lead onboarding process for new vendors as needed, ensuring alignment with company standards and values.
  • Work alongside 3D team to help provide functional design ideas and options to bring fixtures from concept to reality, and ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Assist with the packing/palletizing of tradeshow and events items and helping ensure their departure and return to/from the warehouse.
  • Ensure safety protocols and OSHA standards are followed within the warehouse.
  • Monitor and manage warehouse equipment, performing regular maintenance checks as needed.

Experience You Bring

  • 3 + years warehouse management experience including inventory control and team leadership.
  • 3+ years construction experience including carpentry, painting, electrical, masonry, flooring, and welding
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service skills, in person, on the phone and in writing
  • Ability to be flexible within the job to ensure the best processes/systems for smooth completion of all projects and in accordance with the best interests of the business at the foundation
  • Capable of streamlining and improving processes and troubleshooting
  • Available to work occasional after-hours to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to remain flexible to change within the work environment and scope of responsibility.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand on a ladder
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor within a flexible and (at times) noisy work environment
  • Ability and license to drive a forklift and scissor lift
  • Occasional overnight travel and extended work hours may be required.

Hiring range: $80,000 $90,000 USD Annual

At Patagonia, pay ranges are assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget. Note the full pay range for this role ranges from: $69,200.00 - $103,800.00 USD Annual. The Hiring Range reflects where in the range we intend to hire for this role.
