Nautic Partners, LLC completed its acquisition of the Specialty Tapes business from Berry Global Group, Inc., rebranding the company as Vybond. As a standalone business, Vybond is poised to strengthen its leadership in pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, delivering innovative solutions to industrial and specialty markets worldwide. Headquartered in Franklin, KY, with facilities in Riverhead, NY, and Bristol, RI, Vybond Group, Inc. manufactures specialty foil, film, and duct tapes and adhesives. With over 1,500 specialty SKUs spanning 500+ product families, Vybond serves 1,500+ customers across the HVAC, building and construction, industrial, retail, medical, aerospace, automotive, and other specialty industries.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Converting Operator's primary function is to process customer orders with the highest degree of quality utilizing assigned machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Must be proficient in performing all the duties of the Slitter Operator Trainee as well as the following: Must be able to independently operate and set up the slitting machines. Perform all the inventory transactions according to the SOPs Collect and document production and quality records as indicated in the MOP. Check, set up and measure different slit roll sizes. Make sure the slitter blades are sharp, free of nicks and properly lubricated. Maintain the cleanliness of the machine. Must keep the workstation clean & organized. Adhere to all specifications and schedules. Identify and inform the Supervisor of quality problems and document appropriately. Perform all slitting functions while minimizing rework. Report any order discrepancies to the Supervisor. Removed defected material identified on the master roll, or in other cases when the defect is present. Knowledgeable on how to pack material off slitters as required. Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by his/her supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate in English preferred
  • High School Diploma Preferred
  • The general physical requirements are standing and walking on concrete at least 12 hours per day. Some lifting (up to 40 lbs), climbing, pushing and pulling are also required.
  • The job is indoors where smoking is forbidden.
  • Protective equipment such as safety shoes are required 100% of the time, and other protective equipment is required as necessary. All safety equipment is provided.
  • The use of small hand tools may be required on occasion.
  • The job may require the ability to drive a forklift.

Compensation: $20/hr. Benefits: medical, dental, 401k, sick and vacation time, paid holidays.
