Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess or be eligible to obtain an Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate and have a strong understanding of building systems and building codes. The role involves working collaboratively as a member of a project team, delivering mechanical engineering services for multi-discipline building design projects and single discipline mechanical engineering projects across various scopes for commercial and government facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform multiple aspects of mechanical engineering services on projects of varying scopes.
  • Execute all stages of mechanical design services, including conceptual studies, programming, and schematic documents.
  • Develop design development documents and construction documents under supervision.
  • Engage in mechanical engineering services during the bidding process, including preparing addenda and amendments.
  • Conduct mechanical engineering services during the construction phase, including field visits and answering RFIs.
  • Review shop drawings, prepare record drawings, and elect and lay out mechanical systems.
  • Prepare accurate, complete, and code-compliant drawings and specifications for various project stages.
  • Review and coordinate drawings produced by CADD technicians assigned to the project.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and perform QA/QC review on assigned projects.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering and mechanical design.
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Revit is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Sprinkler systems design experience is a plus.
  • US citizenship as required by client contracts.

This is an in-office position requiring presence 5 days a week, with 8-hour days starting between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $48.08/hr.
