Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
Join our innovative team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in designing and developing heating, ventilation, cooling, and plumbing systems. You will work on a diverse range of projects, contributing your expertise to load calculations, life cycle costing, and energy modeling, while ensuring compliance with construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Design heating, ventilation, cooling, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct load calculations, life cycle costing, and energy modeling.
- Design refrigeration systems for industrial and commercial buildings.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and work effectively in a team environment.
- Review installation of designed equipment and systems for compliance with construction documents.
- Manage multiple projects within established schedules.
- Prepare construction cost estimates, both broad and detailed.
- Assist in developing contract specifications and researching new procedures or products.
- Perform all work safely and responsibly according to the Health and Safety Plan.
- Act as a positive representative of the company's core values.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit and mechanical design.
- Experience in MEP design, HVAC design, and refrigeration.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) Certification.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and refrigeration.

- Solid organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment
The work environment consists of a bullpen-like office with a close-knit team of 10 employees. The company has a very family-oriented culture and is open to offering a hybrid work model after demonstrating the ability to perform effectively. Employees may be involved in capital expenditure projects across various states and enjoy generous full-time benefits. There is potential for relocation packages to Lawrence.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
