Job Description

Join our innovative team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in designing and developing heating, ventilation, cooling, and plumbing systems. You will work on a diverse range of projects, contributing your expertise to load calculations, life cycle costing, and energy modeling, while ensuring compliance with construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Design heating, ventilation, cooling, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct load calculations, life cycle costing, and energy modeling.
• Design refrigeration systems for industrial and commercial buildings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and work effectively in a team environment.
• Review installation of designed equipment and systems for compliance with construction documents.
• Manage multiple projects within established schedules.
• Prepare construction cost estimates, both broad and detailed.
• Assist in developing contract specifications and researching new procedures or products.
• Perform all work safely and responsibly according to the Health and Safety Plan.
• Act as a positive representative of the company's core values.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit and mechanical design.
• Experience in MEP design, HVAC design, and refrigeration.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI) Certification.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical design and refrigeration.

• Solid organizational skills and a strong work ethic.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a bullpen-like office with a close-knit team of 10 employees. The company has a very family-oriented culture and is open to offering a hybrid work model after demonstrating the ability to perform effectively. Employees may be involved in capital expenditure projects across various states and enjoy generous full-time benefits. There is potential for relocation packages to Lawrence.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
