Skilled Laborer

Job Title: Craft Laborer
Reports To: Foremen and Team Lead and their delegates
Supervises: Labor crew members as designated
FLSA Status: Not Exempt

Summary: Essential Duties: Qualifications: All Laborers perform physically demanding activities under the supervision
of Foremen and/or Team Leads and their delegates. They utilize hand tools (powered and unpowered) to perform assigned labor tasks.

Craft Laborer employees have the ability to maintain layout and grades; perform assigned tasks with little to no supervision; act as foremen of labor crews; demonstrate mastery of site truck operation; and perform all of the labor trade and craft services SumCo Eco offers.

Essential Duties: (Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all that may be found in positions of this class.)
• Take direction and efficiently execute assigned tasks.
• Identify obstacles to productivity and work with Foreman to resolve.
• Develop and recommend methodology improvements to maximize productivity
• Work well with others in a dynamic crew setting

Ed & Experience:
• 7+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledgeable about & retain instructions on best practices for assigned tasks.
• Understand project/task sequence & requirements for efficient completion.
• Exhibit leadership skills and ability to motivate crews to maximum productivity.

Employees in this role work on job sites, often in open, natural settings. They may be exposed to all manner of weather conditions, including rain, snow, sun, extreme heat and cold etc. Project scopes often include work in and around water, sometimes requiring employees in this role to enter the water with appropriate safety attire and equipment.
