Job Description Maintenance Pipefitters are responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials such as steel, galvanized, copper, copper-nickel and stainless along with the appropriate valves and fittings utilizing various tools and equipment in accordance with drawings, arrangements and blue prints. Does necessary plumbing work in connection with constructing, repairing and maintaining shipyard buildings and facilities. Basic Qualifications Requires a minimum of 4 or more years of verifiable marine, maintenance or industrial pipefitting experience. Ability to layout, fabricate, fit, and install pipe.
