Construction Project Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer/Plan Reviewer who will be responsible for reviewing engineering plans, ensuring compliance with VDOT standards, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings, site plans, and construction documents to ensure compliance with VDOT standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ensure all plans adhere to applicable construction and development standards, including VDOT Design Standards and Public Facilities Manual.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, and surveyors to make necessary corrections and ensure conformity with approved plans.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Discipline or Construction Management.
  • Experience in the field supporting building or roadway construction.
  • Proficiency in project management, construction, design, and project coordination.
  • Familiarity with civil drawings and construction management.
  • Experience with RFI, commercial construction, and civil construction.
Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Richmond office or a VDOT location. You will have the opportunity to become fully immersed in VDOT project planning and construction through a reputable engineering firm local to Richmond.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
